EDIT: AS SOME LOVELY PEOPLE HAVE POINTED OUT: ON GMA SHE DID A RANDOM TOUR OF THINGS AROUND NASHVILLE AKA HER HOME.

THE BUTTERFLY MURAL TOOK PLACE IN NASHVILLE AS WELL, WHEN IT COULDVE BEEN LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.

SHE REFERRED TO REPUBLIC AS HER NEW HOME IN MUSIC.

"Okay, this is such an amazing crowd tonight. You have no idea. I kind of had a feeling about you guys because I’m not sure if you know this, but the rumors about you guys as a crowd, like Ohio crowds are known to be legendary loud crowds. We lived one state over in Pennsylvania; I know this about you guys. And I’ve always wanted to do the thing–I’ve seen so many videos of it and I’ve seen it at sports things–like, I go ‘O-H’ and you go ‘I-O’. Could we do that? Okay, you have to promise you’ll be the loudest you’ve ever been when you do this. This is a dream I have, and this is the fulfillment of that dream. Are you ready? Alright, 3, 2, 1. O-H. O-H. O-H. Yes! You guys, that was great. That was fun. That was even more fun than I thought it would be. You guys are amazing. Like I was saying, I grew up in Pennsylvania and I started writing songs when I was about twelve, and now I’m twenty-eight, so that’s a lot of years of writing songs, and it’s been a lot of years of putting out these songs. And it’s been so much fun kind of growing up with you guys because it feels like since I was about sixteen and I started putting out albums, it feels like that was me publishing my diaries of a sixteen year old girl in tenth grade and you guys are the people who cared about reading those diaries, so thank you s much for doing that. And I feel really, really lucky about the people who decided to listen to my music because you’re really empathetic; you’re really nice to me. You’re really understanding. Like, a couple of years ago I decided that I was gonna take a little bit of time in between albums. And it was before I made the album reputation, I figured I just wanted to take a little bit time off and figure out who I would be as a person without a spotlight on me, if there wasn’t all this attention on everything I did. And the coolest thing that happened in the process of that, other than it being a really important time in my life, the other cool that thing happened is you guys were so, so supportive of me taking time off. It was so nice of you. You guys were like, “Go figure it out, take time off, go be happy. We just want you to be happy.” And it’s been so wonderful to have people like you in my life who have the ability to see me as a human being and have the ability to care about things I go through. And it makes me feel like we’ve kind of gone through similar things since you guys have stayed tuned in for this long. Because we all know that when it comes to feelings and growing up and relationships, and being vulnerable, all that stuff, it’s just really delicate, you know?"
